Case Study 1
91-year old patient with massive hallux valgus and hammer toe on the 2nd and 4th toes.
Images: Before (left), after (right) from two perspectives.
Case Study 2
73-year old patient with massive hallux valgus on the left; complete contortion of the 2nd toe and displacement of the following toes.
1st ray corrected using the technique by Rahmanzadeh. The 2nd toe would have had to be amputated. Additional corrections to metatarsal bones 2 – 4 made it possible to avoid the amputation.
The 2nd toe has returned to its normal position. Toes 2 and 3 have been relieved of pressure. A total of 5 bones were severed and reassembled.
Images: Before (left), after (right) from two perspectives.
Case Study 3
45-year old patient with bilateral hallux valgus and incipient tunnel under the second toe. Simultaneous straightening of the 1st ray using Rahmanzadeh’s technique. No post-operative stress relief necessary.
Images: Before (top), after (bottom) from two perspectives.
Case Study 4
47-year old patient with hallux valgus, tunnelling under the 2nd toe and successive formation of hammer toes. Correction of the 1st ray using Rahmanzadeh’s technique. Correction of the hammer toe and metatarsal bone through additional bone operations; the 2nd toe has resumed its original position. A total of 4 bone corrections as well as 2 tendon corrections.
Images: Before (left), after (right) from two perspectives.
Case Study 5
65-year old patient with massive hallux valgus and hammer toe formation on the 2nd toe. Correction to the 1st ray using Rahmanzadeh’s technique. Discreet bone correction for the 2nd hammer toe.
Images: Before (left), after (right) from three perspectives.
Case Study 6
55-year old patient with massive bilateral hallux valgus. Images before and after surgery. Correction using Rahmanzadeh’s plate. Additional correction of the toe’s rotation error using a screw.
Images: Before (top), after (bottom) from two perspectives.
Case Study 7
36-year old patient with massive bilateral hallux
Images: Before (top), after (bottom) from two perspectives.
Case Study 8
58-year old patient with distinct, bilateral hallux valgus
Images: Before (top), after (bottom)
