Hip Surgery

The hip joint is the second largest joint in the human body. There are various diseases of the hip joint, osteoarthritis being a common one.

The Joint Centre Berlin offers a variety of surgical treatments for patients, in accordance with their individual conditions. These include the extent of osteoarthritis, biological age, deviation from the joint’s normal anatomy, bone quality, any previous surgeries as well as aspects such as profession and any related physical stress, or sports engaged in thus far.

Based on these conditions, the Joint Centre Berlin applies either resurfacing according to McMinn, or a complete hip joint endoprosthesis.
